Jonatan’s comment: „Before I got to Macedonia, I had no idea how it would be like. When I was on the flight to Skopje, I met a Sweedish guy who was an immigrant fromMacedonia. He told me that I would get a cultural shock when staying there. Some pictures came up in my mind how it would be, but I could never have guessed that I would experience so much and meet so many great people. I’m very happy that I choose to do a internship in Macedonia, this gave me friends and memories for life. The IAESTE organization took more than good care of me, activities every day made the days pass very fast (sadly) because of all the fun happenings. What I really liked was the different trips around Macedonia, I was astonished of how nice the country was. My internship gave me an insight of how it is to work in my field and my workmates were very professional and friendly. All in all, an amazing experience that I never will forget! PS: If you get Scandinavian people to Macedonia next summer, please turn the heat down because it was HOT to be Scandinavian in Skopje last summer.”

Monica’s comment: „First of all I should say that it was a big surprise when in my committee, in Malaga, it arrived an offer to take practices in Macedonia. People in Spain in general don’t know a lot of things about the Balkans area. In my case, I’m lucky because I have had the opportunity to visit the Balkans before. However despite this experience I didn’t imagine that the environmental sector could be so developed like now I can see. This field needs more time in Macedonia but it’s a good beginning. In fact in the Farmahem’s laboratory I have seen instruments more modern than the laboratory of my faculty in Malaga.”

Natalja’s comment: „My rapport is written in the light of trainee job at Diagnostika Farmahem. The trainee job was mostly performed at laboratory in Aerodrom. I would like to say thanks to Vase, Rina and Nadica for their help, kindness and cooperation. I enjoyed being part of the team. I would also like to say thanks to Lidia, Meri, Frosina, Zorica and doctor Ankica for work at the laboratory in Gjorce Petrov and who helped me to get started with my trainee job. I have only been there the first three days of my training but I have learned a lot from them. Thank you to everyone for been very kind with me, it made my stay in Macedonia very pleasant and enjoyable. I have had a great learning/working experience which I will never forget. My stay in Macedonia and training at Diagnostika Farmahem has broadened my knowledge in many ways. I have noticed that working with people, as patients, give you deeper understanding of the functions of human body and bring you closer to real life. Working at Diagnostika Farmahem gave me experience and better understanding of real life problems, because it deals with real people and their health problems. It gave me the opportunity to combine my theoretical knowledge with practical experience and moreover broadened my theoretical knowledge as well!”

Additional comment: Revisited Macedonia and Pharmachem with a group of Pharmacy and Chemistry IAESTE students in 2005 Kenneth’s comment: „I was doing my practical work at Pharmachem, in their diagnostical laboratory. I have tried to make many different analysis, learned new techniques and learned how to use new equipment. The stuff was very helpful and they spoke good English. I have seen three different laboratories, one private and two public and I have made a couple of contacts with important people in the area of Chemistry. I really enjoyed my trip to Macedonia, everybody was so nice and my trip was great. I was staying in Hotel Pelagonija together with a lot of other foreign students, which was a very good arrangement. Nearly every weekend IAESTE Macedonia had planned a trip to somewhere, showing us Macedonia. My favourites were the trip to Ohrid (a very old and beautiful town and lake) and the trip to themountain of Pelister. Skopje is a nice town by night, because of all the cafe-bars, restaurants, bars and discotheques. If you want you can go to parties every night, but keep in mind that you have to go to work the next day. I hope I will visit Macedonia again some day.”

Текст од Годишниот извештај на ИАЕСТЕ Македонија, 2005 година

 „Дијагностика Фармахем” е специјалистичка биохемиска лабораторија која постои и успешно работи од 1996 година.

Секоја година имаме огромно задоволство нашето работно искуство да го пренесеме на повеќе студенти од земјава и од странство, кои доброволно доаѓаат кај нас со цел да се запознаат со принципите на повеќе биохемиски методи и да стекнат солидна работна пракса. До сега, преку ИАЕСТЕ во „ Дијагностика Фармахем” работно искуство стекнале 7 студенти и тоа од: Јапонија, Данска, Хрватска, Р.Ирска, Австрија, Шкотска како и студенти од Македонија.

Минатото лето ни беше чест, да ја примиме Анет Уде од Данска која во Македонија беше дојдена преку разменската програма на ИАЕСТЕ.

За време на неколку неделниот престој во Дијагностика Фармахем, Анет имаше можност да се запознае со повеќе аспекти од нашето работење, почнувајќи од основните чекори за успешно извршување на биохемиските анализи - земањето на  матријал и негова подготовка за понатамошна анализа, па се до издавањето на резултати.

Анализите во нашата лабораторија се извршуваат на следниве инструменти: Sysmex KX-21N (хематолошки анализатор), Alcyon - Abbott (автоматски анализатор за клиничка биохемија), IMx - Abbott (имуноанализатор за ендокрини тестови, репродуктивни хормони, тумор маркери и хепатити), TDx - Abbott (анализатор за одредување на наркотици), A25 - Biosystems (автоматски биохемски анализатор).

Анет имаше можност да се запознае со начинот на работа на овие инструменти, како и со реагенсите кои се користат за извршување на анализите.

Се надеваме дека за овие неколку недели, успеавме да и помогнеме на нашата гостинка да си го прошири, надгради и збогати сопственото знаење од областа на биохемијата.

Благодарни сме и на Анет на интернационалниот дух што го донесе и што со своето присуство ни ги разубави работните денови. Ни беше задоволство да размениме искуства за ваквите лаборатории во Данска, обновувајќи си го притоа англискиот јазик.

Исто така, Анет имаше можност и да ги запознае убавините на нашата земја и на наше задоволство вети дека повторно ќе се врати во Македонија и во лабораторијата. Ваквото ветување веќе го исполни Кенет од Данска, кој беше практикант во нашата лабораторија во 1998 год. Тој, оваа пролет, по 7 години, се врати повторно да ја посети Македонија и „Дијагностика Фармахем”, сега како магистер по биохемиски науки, а со себе донесе и нов подмладок на ИАЕСТЕ студенти.

„Дијагностика Фармахем<

Pharmachem supported IAESTE Macedonia in organizing the 32nd Seminar for IAESTE Development – SID 2017 held in Skopje.       Ms. Vinka Tanevska was present at the Opening Ceremony with 60 delegates from 25 countries. Together with Mr. Jordan Aluloski, also an IAESTE Alumni from Pharmachem, they joined later the International Evening during the event.

Фармахем го поддржа ИАЕСТЕ Македонија во организирање на 32-ри Семинар за развој на ИАЕСТЕ - SID 2017 којшто се одржа во Скопје.   Г-а Винка Таневска присуствуваше на свеченото отворање со 60 делегати од 25 земји. Заедно со г. Јордан Алулоски, кој исто така е ИАЕСТЕ Алумни од Фармахем, тие подоцна се приклучија на Интернационалната вечер за време на настанот.

On the 70th anniversary of IAESTE, held in Berlin in January 2018, in the presence of more than 300 delegates from 80 countries, Pharmachem was awarded with the prestigious “Employer Award” from IAESTE International for supporting IAESTE over 20 years. A dozen employers from all the member states of IAESTE received this recognition as well. The nomination for the “Employer Award” was submitted by IAESTE Macedonia.

По повод 70 годишнината на IAESTE одбележана во Берлин во јануари 2018, во присуство на над 300 делегати од 80 земји, на Фармахем му беше доделено престижно признание „Employer award“ од IAESTE International за поддршката на IAESTE повеќе од 20 години. Признанието го добија уште десетина работодавачи од сите земји членки на IAESTE. Номинацијата за наградата „Employer award“ беше напишана од IAESTE Macedonia.
